IRAIVAN TEMPLE

IRAIVAN Temple is a Hindu temple in Chola style dedicated to Shiva on the Hawaiian island of Kauai in the United States of America. The name Iraivan means “He who is worshiped” and is among the oldest words used to refer to God in Tamil language. The temple beside the bank of Wailua River and 8 Km from the peak of Waialaleale started to construct in 1990 was the first all stone white granite temple built in the Western Hemisphere . The Saiva Siddharmanta Temple, also known as the kauai adheenam or kauai’s Hindu monastery, is currently under construction. The main attraction of the temple is believed to be a 700 pound, 39 inch, uncut crystal, the largest six sided, single pointed crystal in the world.
